Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel admits 'inappropriate' relationship with attorney
Source: AP
Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel is admitting he had an "inappropriate" relationship with a Hot Springs attorney after court documents were filed alleging a sexual affair between the two.
McDaniel said in a statement Tuesday that he had the relationship with Hot Springs attorney Andrea L. Davis, but would not offer many details about the nature of the relationship. McDaniel said he met Davis during his 2010 re-election bid and had "limited" interaction with her.
McDaniel's name surfaced in a custody dispute between Davis and her ex-husband in Garland County. McDaniel's admission was first reported by the Talk Business website Tuesday.
McDaniel is a Democrat and the only announced candidate for governor in 2014. Davis did not immediately return a call Tuesday morning.

Is Mike Beebe termed out by 2014? If so expect that state to be led by a Republican by then.
In fact, this affair has conflict-of-interest implications, see this article "Dustin McDaniel's Relationship Was With Lawyer in Schools Lawsuit" by Arkansas Business Online.
