White House: Biden Will Convene Meeting Thursday On Newtown Response

Vice President Joe Biden will convene a meeting of law enforcement leaders Thursday as he begins his work overseeing the Obama administration's response to the Newtown massacre, a White House official said. Also attending the meeting will be Attorney General Eric Holder, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, and Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius.

... Joe is your quintessential grandpa and you know how he feels about what happened in Newtown, CT. without asking. I hope he has no mercy, and they come up with a comprehensive list of proposals to present to Congress. That will be one bill that will have lots of amendments and will not be a debate you want to miss (i.e. if you get into heated House and Senate debates, which I do.)

(3,384 posts)Firearm Insurance should be required by owners for each weapon. That money will go into a pool for cities, counties and states to draw off of to pay for the costs for gun injuries and deaths. The reports to request money for each event & police report will shop everyone what GOD AWFUl amounts of money we are spending simply to allow some gun nut a handgun.
- Much like auto insurance, you may never have an accident but the money is there for the Insur Co's to pay for other's mistakes. Same deal for Firearm Insurance except the money goes to public entities.
