Source: www.gawker.com

"House Republicans say that their worried for all the typical reasons: there was not "enough time for hearings and debate," it puts pressure on the "already-strained Treasury," and that there's not going to be a way to pay for it. But the thing about this stimulus package that sets it apart from normal ones is that it's emergency money. while they pass hundreds of strangely written laws in a lame duck session.

One says that we cannot recall during the first year or last year of office. Mind you, the term of office for Representatives IS TWO YEARS. Do that math!

It's not that I would call Republicans stupid. It would be unfair to raise their bar that high.

Many of us went without power, lights, heat between 4 days and more than a week in his district.

And *he's* voting against aid for us.

And our district re-elected him in the middle of Sandy.

I'm referring to Ernest "Scott" Garrett.

The Republicans are a bunch of phonies though, they stuck a bunch of non related pork on there.

We need a full accounting of how this money is spent.

How much was given after Katrina because New Orleans has not been rebuilt and someone took the money.
