President Donald Trump has started sending federalized troops to Chicago on Sunday after threatening to do so for weeks.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) — soon after clips of troops and immigration agents patrolling The Windy City started circulating on X on Sunday — posted that he was aware of the development.

“I am closely monitoring the confirmed reports of federal agents on Michigan Ave.,” Johnson said. “While Chicagoans and visitors are enjoying another gorgeous Sunday, they are being intimidated and threatened by masked federal agents flaunting automatic weapons for no apparent reason.”

Johnson added, “This is another brazen provocation from the Trump administration that does nothing to make our city safer.”

Let's say it was my fiftieth birthday and also the day I had finally completed my master's degree. I decided to have a party. Nearly every important person in my life was present. Across town, my mother, whom I have almost nothing to do with because of her nastiness, decided to have a party of her own. There would be many people who were compelled to be there because of family or financial obligation. It was going to be a big splashy party with lots of noise and publicity. She made sure everyone in our small town knew about her rival event. That is as close as I can get.

Locate all of the federal buildings used to execute the invasion of Chicago and CUT OFF THEIR UTILITIES, specifically the water and electricity services. If Donny wants to maintain a "war footing" with his Democratic Party enemies, then let's go to war. Let the military rent porta-potties and let them bring in generators for electricity. MAKE THEM UNWELCOMED INTRUDERS. Otherwise, Chicago isn't really interested in recognizing the invasion for what it is, and are partially supporting Trump's invasion. CUT THEM OFF!
