White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller lashed out at Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) after he asked whether President Donald Trump’s administration will speak out against “the extreme right” that he claimed caused a fire at the home of a judge.

The South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division is investigating after a house owned by state Circuit Court Judge Diane Goodstein and her husband, a former Democratic state senator, was set ablaze on Saturday, according to WYFF, leaving three people hospitalized.

FITSNews reported that the agency did not indicate whether the incident is a suspected arson attack — but noted that Goodstein has reportedly been receiving death threats for weeks. South Carolina Chief Justice John Kittredge told the outlet that the fire appeared to stem from an “apparent explosion.”
