Turning Point USA on Thursday said it will host a competing show to Bad Bunny's 2026 Super Bowl halftime performance.

Why it matters: The announcement capitalizes on MAGA outrage over the NFL's selection of the Puerto Rican artist, who skipped shows in the continental U.S., partly because of concerns with ICE raids.

Performers and event details were not yet announced for the "All American Halftime Show," which will, per Turning Point, celebrate "faith, family and freedom" on Feb. 8.

Driving the news: Conservative uproar followed the announcement of Bad Bunny, one of the world's most popular artists, as the Super Bowl halftime headliner.

An adviser to the Department of Homeland Security signaled that ICE officials might be sent to the 2026 Super Bowl.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said earlier this month there is "no tangible plan for that in store right now."

Bad Bunny's tongue-in-cheek response to critics was to tell them in Spanish to learn the language during a Saturday Night Live monologue.

Friction point: Turning Point USA with its announcement launched a form for people to express interest in music genres, with one of the choices being "anything in English."

The other options included Americana, classic rock, country, hip hop, pop and worship.
