Oz says Trump has a plan to replace Obamacare -- but offers no specifics

Dr. Mehmet Oz, the administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, suggested Wednesday that President Donald Trump has a plan to replace the Affordable Care Act — but provided no specifics about the proposal.

“I fully believe the president has a plan,” Oz told NBC News’ “Meet the Press” moderator Kristen Welker. “We’ve been talking about it quite a bit. There’s all kinds of ideas.” “The issue, Kristen, is which specific parts of the plan do you prioritize, which are the ones you want to focus on,” he added.

When pressed for specifics about Trump’s plan, Oz said, “The plans that were originally offered during the One Big Beautiful Bill fell out, which is fine.”

Trump has repeatedly vowed to repeal and replace the ACA, also known as Obamacare, both during his first term and again on the 2024 campaign trail — but his current administration has yet to provide details about what his new plan would like like or how it would affect people who rely on the law for coverage. More than 24 million people got coverage through the ACA in 2025, according to government data.

Trump said before the 2016 election that he had the greatest health care plan in the world and would disclose it after he gets elected. He also said this many other times and when asked - -he said "in two weeks" he would bring it out. I guess that us dummies are still waiting for this (or maybe he does not have a health care plan)

I was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma in 1990.
It returned in 2002 and 2019 as diffuse large B cell lymphoma.

When it returned in 2019, three things had to happen for me to reach remission.

1) The vote to repeal ACA failed.
I used provisions of ACA, such as no more lifetime limits.
In 2019, I went through 4 unsuccessful treatments over 2 years and all failed.

2) In 2021, I started a successful fifth treatment which was a new drug approved by FDA in 2020.
Cancer research helps me.
Trump has cancelled cancer research.
Problem with my lymphoma is that when it returns you can not use prior therapies; they do not work.

3) My health insurer tried to deny coverage for the drug but it was successfully appealed.

Trump and the people he has appointed in healthcare positions are untrustworthy.
