MESA, Ariz. -- Police say the body of suspected workplace shooter Arthur Harmon was found near Bass Pro Shops in Mesa Thursday morning.
"Mesa Police have informed us they have located the suspect vehicle involved in yesterday's incident (Kia Optima)," Sgt. "In addition, they have located an individual matching the suspect description nearby with what appears to be a self inflicted gunshot wound."

I realize 'AZ Family' is probably not a recognized mainstream source, but they seem to be on the ball more than the others with this story. Let me know if you'd like it posted elsewhere.
He was found in the parking lot of a Bass Pro Shops. I don't know why that disturbs me more than if he had been found in a McDonald's parking lot, but it does.
Coward. Selfish, despicable, low-life coward.

I use azfamily and abc15 now for local news, also new times but they are a weekly.

(4,252 posts)Good that he is now dead.
He could have been sane 5 years or 1 year ago....but then he went crazy... Scary for everyone.

(8,492 posts)He fired at a witness that was running after the car to get a plate #. I don't think he was finished.
Or, I'm just becoming paranoid.

(651 posts)I just can't comprehend the selfishness that it takes to take another life just because you're having a bad day. I feel bad when I'm cranky to someone on the internet.

(8,492 posts)I've gotten most of my camping gear there and a lot of fishing shit for the kid. But, I've never bought ammo or any type of weapon there. Wait...I bought my kid a slingshot at Bass Pro Shops.
I don't recall asking for Bass Pro Shops to be shut down, banned, boycotted, etc. It just struck a little nerve in me when they said his body was found in the parking lot. Not the best advertising they could ask for, all things considered.
I keep seeing people posting in GD that "All gunz should be banned!"
So, I just transposed that "logic" into this thread.

(8,492 posts)If the two sides can't sit down and behave like adults, fuck it. I told my husband last nite, if they're going to behave like children then we'll have to take their toys away. I've been a 2nd Amendment supporter my entire life. I can't stand any more of this. I don't need a gun. I've been threatened by the asshole rednecks in the town where I live, but they're so damned old and confused I could throw a rock and knock them down. I've had my apartment broken into three times, I don't live there anymore. I used to love target shooting. I have computer games.
I took that slingshot from my kid, as a matter of fact. He got it back after proving to me that he could be responsible. But, if he had thrown a tantrum and insisted that it was his right to endanger every living thing in our home and neighborhood? That slingshot would have gone into the garbage. Most of the people I've talked to are reasonable in their arguments. Sadly, it's the loudest ones that are getting the most attention.
Those loud mouths aren't worth another life. This shit needs to be addressed sanely and logically. Not with stupid memes or sarcasm.
