Romney re-emerges at CPAC to pass the Republican torch

"It is up to us to make sure that we learn from my mistakes, and from our mistakes, so that we can win the victories those people and this nation depend upon," Romney told a warmly supportive CPAC crowd.
In his first public appearance since losing the 2012 presidential election to President Barack Obama, Mitt Romney starts off his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference offering "advice" to the president of the United States, stating "do whatever you can to keep America strong, to keep America prosperous and free, and the most-powerful nation on Earth."
"Its fashionable in some circles to be pessimistic about America, about conservative solutions, about the Republican Party," he added. "I utterly reject that pessimism. We may not have carried the day last Nov. 7, but we havent lost the country we love, and we haven't lost our way."

(27,461 posts)they might be able to crash the economy and get people to blame the Democrats.
Or they might be able to disenfranchise enough minorities to win.

(1,730 posts)financially healthy companies with millions of dollars in debt, driving the victimized companies into bankruptcy and throwing thousands of employees out of work. But not before the cash from the debt obligations was disbursed to Romney and his cronies.
And this is the man the repugs heralded as a brilliant businessman. Brilliant? Hardly. Totally lacking in business ethics and basic morality yes;but a brilliant businessman, no. An emphatic no.
The man is nothing but a con man and thief.
What a joke.

(26,620 posts)I had seen them at Christmas, after the election, and the kids, ages 12 down to 5, were all glad Obama won.
We went out to dinner at a great little restaurant in Centerville, Maryland (Doc's) and much to my surprise, they had MSNBC on the televisions. The Ed Show was on and he was interviewing Scott Prouty who recorded Rmoney's 47% remarks. They kept showing clips of Rmoney and my girls were upset. "Why is he on? Didn't he lose? You didn't vote for him, did you grammy?"
I was surprised at their outrage over seeing him on the tv once again.

(50,557 posts)The GOP's biggest mistake is yet to come: after the two extremists they ran in 2012 got slapped down by the electorate for being too extreme, they'll find someone even worse to run in 2016.
