LINCOLN--After 20 years of separation a Liberian mother was reunited Thursday with the daughter she lost in the throes of the Liberian civil war.

"I welcome my daughter to America," said Anna Furkay, as she spread her head scarf on the floor of the Lincoln Municipal Airport concourse for her daughter Amama to stand on.

It took six years of paperwork by an immigration specialist who works with Lutheran Family Services to get authorization for the 22-year-old Amama to join her mother.
