Tucson shooting records from Jan. 8 rampage to be released Wednesday

housands of pages of reports about the 2011 Tucson shooting are set to be made public Wednesday morning.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said it will make about 2,700 pages of reports related its investigation of gunman Jared Lee Loughner available for review. The documents mostly are redacted incident reports and related material made during the Sheriff’s Department’s probe of the Jan. 8, 2011 shooting that killed six people and wounded 13, including former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. A judge sealed the records until the prosecution against Loughner was finished. He is serving life in prison without parole.
