Jay Hileman, Federal Prosecutor, Leaves Aryan Brotherhood Case Amid 'Security Concerns'

Source: Huffington Post

A federal prosecutor has reportedly left a case involving members of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas citing "security concerns."

The Dallas Morning News reports that Houston-based assistant U.S. attorney Jay Hileman told defense lawyer Richard O. Ely II that he was withdrawing in an email.

Ely is representing one of the defendants in the case, which involves racketeering charges.

Houston defense attorney Katherine Scardino also received the email from Hileman, according to Talking Points Memo.

Prosecutor Cited Security As Reason For Withdrawing From Aryan Brotherhood Of Texas Case

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jay Hileman, who has withdrawn from a large federal racketeering case against alleged members of the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas prison gang, cited "security reasons" in an email he sent Monday to defense attorneys involved in the case, according to one lawyer who received the email.

"He sent the email to every lawyer representing a defendant in the Aryan Brotherhood federal case, and he said -- very short email -- that he was withdrawing for security reasons," Houston attorney Katherine Scardino told TPM on Tuesday.

After the recent killings of two prosecutors in Kaufman County, Texas, media reports have made note of the county district attorney's office's role in the investigation of the prison gang. But no material evidence has been found linking the prison gang to the murdered prosecutors. Nevertheless, Scardino said she understood Hileman's decision.

These fuckers are domestic terrorists.

They are easily ID'd.

They could be rounded up and corralled.

Get those fuckers out of the gene pool.

If these guys were nominal Muslims, they would be in Gitmo or CIA blacksites; but since they are useful here at home in keeping the supposedly illegal drug profits rolling in for laundering at your friendly neighborhood too-big-fail, well, you know...boys will be boys.

Just another incredible hypocrisy in a world figuratively swimming in them.

Friends in high places doesn't hurt either...

The morality/policies used by the government that hired that DA, is the equivalent of that being utilized by the AB.

Keep fucking with them and see what happens. How fast can you say "dropped for insufficient evidence".

Simple solution to contain them: lock'em all up in solitary--without any access to the outside world, save for their attorneys.

So much for any and all NRA arguments on how if everyone were armed we would be safe.

Once you make your Bones, there's only one way out, regardless of which side they are on.
