Dick Cheney Suggests Republicans Subpoena Hillary Clinton On Benghazi
Source: The Huffington Post
WASHINGTON -- Former Vice President Dick Cheney met with House Republicans on Thursday morning, suggesting they may need to subpoena former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to get more answers on the deadly Sept. 11, 2012, attack in Benghazi, Libya.
"I think Hillary [Clinton] should be subpoenaed if necessary," Cheney said during the gathering, according to Fox News.
Since the Benghazi attack, Republicans have been hammering the Obama administration and arguing that Clinton and her inner circle engaged in a "cover-up" of what really happened. On Wednesday, they held a nearly six-hour-long hearing before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on the matter.
...........
Cheney has not always been so fond of congressional subpoenas. In fact, the Bush administration cited executive privilege and routinely denied requests for officials to appear before the legislative branch to testify during the U.S. attorney firing scandal. Cheney himself described the probe into whether the Bush administration's firing of federal prosecutors was political as "a bit of a witch hunt."

Pot, the kettle is calling..........
Cheney who, along with Bush and Rumsfeld, should have been prosecuted for malfeasance over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is telling the Republicans to subpoena Hillary???
The unmitigated gall of the guy!!!!!

(30,247 posts)She doesn't suffer fools gladly. It may also have the opposite effect that they desire. If they annoy her enough, she may decide to run in 2016 just to show them that they mess with her at their own peril. They may also piss off many people who were neutral on the Benghazi issue.
They are NOT going to do to her (and Obama, for that matter) what they did to her husband. People will not allow it.

This is a twofer for them, soil Obama and in the process damage Hillary's reputation. In their book it's a win-win situation.

Meanwhile, Bush started two wars that caused the death of thousands of people, many of them women and children. And what do the Democrats do when they win a majority in the House? They choose to take impeachment off the table.

If you don't believe me wait and see who is helping her get elected and if she does get elected who she appoints to different positions, meet the new boss, same as the old boss. They don't give a shit about the people, just look at our current president how he is proposing things that will hurt seniors, I could go on, but I would just get pissed off for supporting him twice.

(2,730 posts)if you act on the allegations against the Bush Administration submitted to the World Court on the International stage. We don't owe the Bush Administration anything. I'm not the President of the United States though but I can fight fire with fire. And if the rightwingers want to secede, I can oblige them with that too. It would do a lot of damage to America but that is the road they want take as President Lincoln once said.

(1,085 posts)We are no longer one nation thanks to their constant ripping and tearing at the fabric of the nation..They think of us as enemies and feel they are in a war with us..therefore anything goes..They are talking about secession and as far as I am concerned. they can get the hell out since they feel so persecuted.. .Let them take their racist, gun loving, war making culture with them and we will all be much better off...
John2
(2,730 posts)the same as mind and I'm a vet too. The rightwingers aren't the only ones know how to fight. They claim they represent America. America is a diverse country. They are the minority and do not represent America. They are doing nothing but pissing off the rest of us. And we are all not chickenhawks. They better be glad one of us is not President, because I think Obama is too soft on them. With all the things they have done violating our Rights, we can have investigations, they may not like. And I definately would not make the mistake of putting one of them the head of a Federal Law Enforcement Agency or they will be violating more people's rights.

What the hell does he mean about "taking this? Just what is is they think they are "taking?" And i think its obvious this was a threat of violence..
I think that at some point we are going to have a showdown with them..Not sure what that showdown involves since they are so crazy but we just can not continue with out nation held hostage to their insanity...
