Ohio State President Retiring After Taking Jabs At Notre Dame, ‘Damn Catholics’

Source: AP/TPM

ASSOCIATED PRESS JUNE 4, 2013, 3:18 PM

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Ohio State University President Gordon Gee announced his retirement Tuesday after he came under fire for jokingly referring to “those damn Catholics” at Notre Dame and poking fun at the academic quality of other schools.

Ohio State initially called the remarks unacceptable and placed Gee on a “remediation plan” to improve his behavior.

Gee, 69, said in a statement he decided during a vacation last week that he would step down July 1.

“During my days away, I also spent some time in self-reflection,” Gee said. “And after much deliberation, I have decided it is now time for me to turn over the reins of leadership to allow the seeds that we have planted to grow. It is also time for me to re-energize and refocus myself.”

He would rather remain a bigot than to be forced to take ownership and accountability for it.

That POS should have been fired over the Terell Pryor scandals.

The 1st time he left OSU he went to Brown Univesity and they had had enough
with Gordo and his act in under 2 years and told him if he wanted to leave they were
more then good w/that.

Gee has done lots of good @ OSU and other schools but he does have an ego
the size of the Atlantic Ocean and forgets that people have the google and everything
you say will get out into the public.

This is another example of someone speaking the truth and people just not being able to accept the facts. I call it the Fox News resistance epidemic. The stats he was using were from an actually study that compared The Big 10 schools, Notre Dame and SEC schools. It is the truth and just another example of people dismissing the dumbing of America. Is it any wonder what states the SEC schools are from? I will be supporting his comments and he as a person and push to support him should he choose to stay in his position.

LOLhio State is as dirty as they come. They are no different than Alabummer or Notre Dumb, and they don't get brownie points because their kids actually have to attend the advanced basket weaving classes. Gee is a hypocritical asshole.
