White House: Rouhani Will Find US A "Willing Partner" If Tehran Seeks Serious Talks On Nuclear Concerns

WASHINGTON - The United States said on Sunday it is prepared to work with the new government of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to address concerns about Iran's nuclear program if Iran will engage seriously on the issue.

"The inauguration of President Rouhani presents an opportunity for Iran to act quickly to resolve the international community's deep concerns over Iran's nuclear program," White House spokesman Jay Carney said in a statement.

"Should this new government choose to engage substantively and seriously to meet its international obligations and find a peaceful solution to this issue, it will find a willing partner in the United States," he said.

The White House congratulated Rouhani, seen as politically more moderate than predecessor Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on the election, which it said demonstrated a desire by Iranians for change.

the Israeli Prime Minister is correct. Tne North Koreans weren't the only delegation well represented at this man's ignauguration but Syria was there also. They are preparing for War against the United States and Israel, should they attack. That is where the winds are going, probably by year's end if neither side backs off. I don't think either side will back down from threats, especially if you listen to the voices that count. The voices in Iran, that people should pay attention to is their Supreme Leader, and their Military hierachy. Those people are preparing for War, just in case the U.S. and Israel aren't satisfied. Hezbullah,Syria,Iran and North Korea are all on the same path, with their militaries. None of them are going to capitulate. Iran has military groups in Yemen, Bahrain and Iraq also should they get attacked by Israel. Their Generals have been planning just like ours. it is also why Egypt is important to both sides. Egypt controls passage through the Suez Canal. The U.S. and Israel need Egypt more than Egypt need them.

Their highest military General has been advising their Supreme Leader, just like ours advise Obama. I remember they sent communications to Jordan, they would be the first to go, in case of a war. It didn't just come from the Syrians. That is why Obama has been putting more military forces in Jordan. The Iranian military believes, Obama has been shifting military equipment out of Afghanistan to the Middle East. This includes having secret talks with the Taliban who switched their headquarters to Qatar. This all fits in with what is going on in Syria. They need to remove Assad, which will give them better positions in a War with Iran. His forces could also threaten U.S. Warships off the coast. According to rumors, Obama promised Netanyahu, the U.S. would be prepared to attack Iran by year's end also. It was another redline that he promised to Netanyahu. The Gulf States are all in on it also. They all want Assad out of the way for bigger plans.

Whether it is strictly for nuclear power, or nuclear weapons makes no difference, to Iran.

First off Iran is not willing to be told what to do, which is normal for any sovereign nation.

Secondly, Iran sees what the USA does to countries that do not have nukes, especially if they have oil.

Thirdly, Iran will not attack Israel, BUT they will lash out ferociously should anyone attack Iran,

and they have one heck of a military - they ain't Iraq.

Last thing one should consider seriously,

Iran may want nukes as a deterrent;

I doubt they would be foolish enough to use one when they know full well USA and Israel could literally bomb them back to the stone age.

Iran may play "friendly" with the USA, but Iran does not trust the USA for one second.

They remember well that the USA supplied Iraq with weapons during the Iran/Iraq war.

THEN years later, bombed the shit out of Iraq. They have not forgotten.

I'll place my bet -

If there is a war with Iran,

Iran will not be the one to start it.

shitty stuff in the middle east and other parts of the world but on the other hand Iran in this case isnt exactly an innocent virgin either and they have done some shitty stuff as well.
But that aside hopefully cooler heads will prevail on both sides and the US could extend an olive branch itself by agreeing to ease some of the sanctions right now that are in place.
Of course for long term peace in the region the US needs to stop being a doormat for Israel to and stop shielding them from the consequences for their actions as much as it has been doing these past few decades because that is certainly not helping the region either.

So the US has a smiley face saying it will be a willing partner. But are we an honest broker when we are funding unrest within Iran,
killing its scientists and causing trouble? Does the House of Representatives of the US look like honest brokers and willing partners when
they just put more sanctions on Iran a few days ago, calling Iran a menace to the world? Give me a break. Iran has no rivers and needs nuclear power to thrive economically. We are not a willing partner, it is just window dressing so we can later start a war on some pretext.
Daniel Ellsburg said the other day that the war on Iran is already "in the works" unless we stop it.
