Sounds like he wants to be famous.

I hope the cops get him before we have another Newtown.

I expect the morons in the State Legislature to arm teachers to the teeth after this.

that plan is not working out too well.
Most districts nationwide are in jeopardy of losing their insurance coverage if they arm teachers.

Decatur is not too far from where I live.

Creator, please be with the children, the educators and staff at the school and let them all be safe.

WTF IS IT ABOUT PEOPLE WITH GUNS apparently wanting to hurt innocent children?!?

I grew up in the north and it was always after labor day because of tourism

Hope there are no injuries - way too many of these stories lately.

Georgia is one of the more pro-gun states in the country. As we all know, guns make everyone safer, so with all of those guns out there in Georgia, there's no way this could happen there.

The first thought that popped into my head was 'some guy trying to prove a point about armed teachers'. Especially after the reports that he requested news coverage.

Or, he's just a needy nut that wants some attention.

He's alive, so we'll find out soon enough. I almost made myself puke stalking FReakshow a few minutes ago. Sick human beings over there.

DECATUR, Ga. (AP) — A police chief says the suspect in a Georgia elementary school shooting fired from inside the school and officers returned fire.

DeKalb County Police Chief Cedric L. Alexander said at a news conference that the gunman who had an assault rifle was able to get into Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy in Decatur Tuesday by following behind someone who was authorized to be there.

Alexander says the 19-year-old suspect is being questioned.

The chief also says officers believed the suspect had explosives in the trunk of his car so they cut a hole in a fence to man sure students running from the building could get even farther away.
