Bashar al-Assad: US will pay price for Syria strike
Source: BBC
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has warned that the US would "pay the price" for any strike against Syria.
He told US broadcaster PBS that strikes would increase instability and lead to the spread of terrorism in the region.

(166 posts)A War with Syria is something the U.S.should avoid. This unsolicited piece of advice, which I have seen somewhere, is no doubt a reflection of the assumption that Syria is a formidable enemy, that would quickly defeat the U.S. military in any confrontation. I asume that said advice is considered valid within the present set of circumstances, but obviously allowing the U.S. to duly build up its presence aroud Syria for such purpose.
Syria might be a strong and dangerous enemy to defeat, but so is the U.S. Besides, the U.S. has basically unlimited capacity to confront Syria for as long as it is needed.
