France fears backlash from militants fighting in Syria

Source: AFP

PARIS — France's interior minister revealed Thursday that hundreds of homegrown Islamist militants were signing up to fight in Syria and warned they could pose a security threat when they come back.

More than 300 French nationals or residents are either currently fighting in Syria's civil war, planning to go and fight or have recently returned from there, the minister, Manuel Valls, told France Inter radio.

Most of them were young men, often with a delinquent past, who had become radicalised, he said.

"This is a phenomenon which worries me because they represent a potential danger when they return to our soil," Valls said. "We have to be extremely attentive."

France's government is clearly and definitely pro-al Qaeda and pro-jihad, but just not in France. It doesn't work that way, so France will suffer accordingly...

America did.

What part of the concept of "blowback" are you having problems understanding?

The jihadist are the most motivated, they are piously incorruptible, and demanding of social and economic justice. They are sent off lightly armed, to fight and hold ground against a conventional army. Their slaughter is a success for american allies Saudi, Jordan, Libya, Egypt, qatar and others. They hate assad and have no idea how to put these young men to work, share the oil wealth or desire to provide just societies.

Saudi arabia even dumped it's death row on the syrians.

The jihadists are on a one way trip. There is no way they want a battle hardened Jihadist to return home without a focus for their energy.

In a nutshell, every Jihadist fighting/blowing something up in Syria is one less Jihadist fighting/blowing something up somewhere else.

The documented CIA cooperation with Assads secret police, revealed through the rendition of canadian Mahr Arar, only makes the situation murkier.
