LINCOLN Nebraska officials said Friday that a computer problem tied to the advent of Obamacare enrollment will delay some people's ability to get Medicaid coverage.
The problem prevents the transfer of applications between the federal health insurance marketplace and the state Medicaid system.
It affects people who apply for health insurance through the new online marketplace and are determined to be potentially eligible for Nebraska Medicaid.
Russ Reno, a spokesman for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, said federal officials notified Nebraska about the issue last week. The notice said the problem is expected to be fixed by the first week of November, federal officials said.

(22,651 posts)Overall the online marketplace is a good thing for people. Even if their state didn't expand medicaid the online market place will auto-send to the state- the apps. that qualify.
Even the regular insurance won't start until Jan 2014 (I think)

(3,251 posts)It's a loan, so if I ever get back on my feet financially ever again, I will have to REPAY it.
That's assuming there is any doctor I can ever see to get any kind of medical help.
I can say this stuff scares me to death because I know I will be gouged no matter what happens.
