Skin Cancer: New Drugs 'Can Cure' Disease

Source: Sky News

Skin cancer sufferers could be cured of the disease with breakthrough drugs, experts claimed, as they hailed the "beginning of a new era".

Seriously ill patients are said to have seen "spectacular effects" after receiving the medication which could eventually be used to combat other forms of the condition.

It is the first time scientists have come this close to providing a remedy for advanced melanoma, which is diagnosed when the disease has spread and can no longer be surgically removed.

Until now the prognosis for advanced melanoma has been very poor and many patients die within months of diagnosis.

New treatment combines two different drugs that 'reboot' immune system. The first is ipilimumab – or ‘ipi’. Per research presented to the European congress in Amsterdam yesterday, 17 per cent of patients are cured by this drug alone.

Many more – perhaps more than half – could be ‘clinically cured’ by combining them with even newer drugs called anti-PD1s which break down cancer cells’ defenses.

One in six with skin cancer are already being cured by the drugs.

skin cancer just a couple of years ago. I'm sorry to hear that this is being used in such a limited number of cases.

I myself have had some benign lesions excised. Let me tell you, once they start cutting on your face, sunblock becomes one of your best friends and you never go anywhere without it.

across and would peel off leaving a raw spot. I got C-mollient from my skin doctor and started using it. In four days the spot was gone and hasn't come back in 5 years. There is no scar where it was. About two weeks after, a brown mole I had near my hairline dried up, peeled off, and hasn't come back. I have classic freckly Irish skin. C-mollient has esterized vitamin C and green tea extract, both very strong anti-oxidants. It is expensive--costs about $65, but lasts around 6 months if you apply it to your face every two days. I had one of my friends from the beach try it. He had a lot of small precancerous skin lesions that his doctor was freezing off every month. They stopped erupting.

I don't know what this stuff would do with an actual case of skin cancer, but it works very well on pre-cancerous skin issues.

I'll have to look into this for any additional conditions that develop. I'm told once one occurs, others will probably follow. And as I too have fair Irish skin, I suspect I'll have to deal with something like this the rest of my life.

I have seen C-herb remove warts, moles, and skin cancer. Easy to find on line. I get mine from Dr. Carpenter in Idaho. He makes it. Robert Kennedy Jr. has talked about his relationship with Dr. Carpenter on his radio show. If you see a set of photos of the process in action it is my dads arm that is being treated.

to be legitimate, I would still be very skeptical about any and all information provided by a Rupert Murdoch "news" outlet.

Check out milk weed sap as a cure for non-melanoma skin cancer. There is a lot of information about it posted on the web. I use it every year to catch any cancerous cells in the early stages. It is free and has no side effects!
