‘Missing’ student trapped for 36 hours

Source: New York Post

An NYU student believed missing was actually trapped for up to 36 hours in a tiny gap between his dorm building and a neighboring structure — and was rescued only after his worried pals raised the alarm and rescue workers heard his moans.

“It started out that he was missing, nobody knew where he was. And all of a sudden, they discovered he’d fallen between two buildings,’’ said Habiba Vongtau, the mom of the 19-year-old victim, political-science major Asher Vongtau.

“I’m just completely stunned — he’s actually one of those responsible kids,’’ she told The Post from her Pittsburgh home as she prepared to take a bus to Manhattan to see her son at Bellevue, where he was in serious but stable condition Sunday night.

A pal said he last saw Vongtau early Saturday, after his friend left his dorm room.

“I don’t want to elaborate on what we were doing in there,’’ said sophomore Mike Yablon, 19.

James Franco. He glamorized getting stuck between two things in his "127 hours" movie. Now the kids are getting into it.

it's 52 of them. making 52 new #1 issues of their line, and making everyone have salon quality hair with their super muscular yet svelte physiques just screams we've given up. lol

shown with great hair and perfect bodies (with the exception of redheaded Lex during the Death of Superman story). I honestly don't care how they look. I want stories that shake up the characters. Show flaws in their personality. Love the comic that came with Injustice: Gods among Us. Superman taken to his natural opressive limits? Batman being called a terrorist for trying to stop him? Heck yeah. Love that idea. I can't wait to see part 2.

go and answer that all enigmatically? maybe he's saying when the drill went off they were doing things that would be frowned upon? who knows. all I know is, if someone goes missing and you live where there's those damn tiny places where people can fall into on those buildings, why wouldn't they look there within 8-12 hours, not 2 days later? especially when they knew the last they'd seen him he was going up the stairs! jeesh...

anyone to fall into. How is it that buildings are built with such 'traps'? Why aren't they walled off?

some kind of glow in the dark edging where the foot wide or so building's walls are at, or metal meshing, or something, I dunno, but you'd think someone would come up with something.

it's not like this doesn't happen!
