Al-Qaeda-linked rebels apologise after cutting off head of wrong person

Source: The Telegraph

Militant Islamist rebels in Syria linked to al-Qaeda have asked for "understanding and forgiveness" for cutting off and putting on display the wrong man's head.

In a public appearance filmed and posted online, members of Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, one brandishing a knife, held up a bearded head before a crowd in Aleppo. They triumphantly described the execution of what they said was a member of an Iraqi Shia militia fighting for President Bashar al-Assad.

But the head was recognised from the video as originally belonging to a member of Ahrar al-Sham, a Sunni Islamist rebel group that often fights alongside ISIS though it does not share its al-Qaeda ideology.

After inquiries, an ISIS spokesman admitted he was Mohammed Fares, an Ahrar commander reported missing some days ago. This could not be independently confirmed, but in an earlier video of a speech by Mr Fares he bears a close resemblance to the severed head in the later video.

The Jihadist are so blood thirsty they ended up killing their own, in the most gruesome way.

The back story is the beheaded terrorist was wounded while doing terror. He thought he was captured and rescued by Shite forces aligned with Assad. The wounded Sunni terrorist thought it smart to pretend he was a Shite, and made chants or songs that would have been sung by the Shites.

Upon hearing this, the Sunni Jihadist funded by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, who had rescued him, now thought they had a Shite on their hands. Doing what they do best, they cut his head off and triumphantly paraded it around, like a state fair winning cantaloupe.

It's likely the friends of the Jihadist will now hunt down the jihadist who beheaded their buddy.

My thoughts are with the people of Syria, the real victims of this insanity.

But no, the State Department and their handlers want to have their cake and eat it too. They think this is Libya 2.0(or Iraq 3.0) where the foreign oil companies will just get to swoop in and take the rights. No problem.

The only problem is neither Iraq nor Libya are looking so hot for business years down the line are they, geniuses?

For US to stay out and just let these guys take care of themselves.

The middle east will never get anywhere as long as they are so sectarian.

Sadly I'd say they may work it out in 40? more years.

There are a number of Kurdish, Shiite and Sufi rebel organizations that are on US lists of terrorist organizations for whom fighting Al Qaeda is a priority. You see, if you think Al Qaeda hates the US...they really hate Shiites and Sufi, both of whom they consider to be heretics perverting Islam and denigrating Mohammed. The hatred of Kurds is predominantly one of ethnic cleansing motivations.

The most prominent of these organizations that Al Qaeda hates much as or more than us is Hezbollah.

Jihad for Beginners: Westerners Fighting With al-Qaeda in Syria

The men appeared confused. They huddled around a rotisserie-chicken stand in the Syrian city of al-Bab, 11 of them, dressed in the black tunic and trousers of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), an al-Qaeda affiliate that is fighting against the Syrian government of Bashar Assad. Back from the front lines, guns slung from their shoulders, they tried, in vain, to communicate with the shopkeeper. Their Arabic was nonexistent; their English fractured. They consulted with one another in Albanian. Was the chicken halal, appropriate for observant Muslims to eat? Another foreigner, an adviser to an international aid agency who happened to speak Albanian, solved their dilemma. He assured them that the chicken, in this most conservative part of Muslim Syria, would be nothing but halal. Satisfied, they placed their orders.

“It was just so bizarre to see a Kosovar Albanian asking if the shawarma was halal,” said the aid worker, laughing, as he recounted the incident over Skype. He spoke on condition of anonymity to protect his organization. “I’ve seen Chechens, Norwegians, Belgians and even a guy who said he was Somali but who spoke in a thick Birmingham accent. These fighters are coming from everywhere.”

he's asking for understanding and forgiveness for murdering the wrong man. But if someone were to convert from Islam to Christianity, that guy would be screaming for his blood. If a woman were to be raped in his camp he would be demanding her execution. He would, more than likely, carry it out himself.
