Rand Paul ‘16 pick: ‘Someone like myself’
Source: Politico
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) thinks Americans are holding out for a D.C. outsider in 2016; perhaps someone like myself, he said Monday.
I think they want someone outside of, you know, whats been going on. For example, someone like myself who has been promoting term limits, he said on Fox News Monday. Someone who says we shouldnt have, you know, decade after decade longevity up here.
And I think Im, enough, new here to still be perceived as an outsider, should that be the choice at sometime in 2016, he added.
When indirectly asked about a potential New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie run, Paul responded that governors arent necessarily outsiders just because theyre not stationed in the District of Columbia.

On Sunday, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker made similar remarks.
And of course the "liberal" media (even some conservatives consider Fox News part of the "liberal media" is providing these guys a self-promotion vehicle. No tough questions about any wrongdoing they've done while in public office...DU should have PLENTY of examples.
