LBJ Foundation honors George HW Bush for service, leadership

The LBJ Foundation crossed the aisle to honor former President George H.W. Bush for his civility, civil rights work and bipartisanship.

Bush accepted the Liberty and Justice for All Award in a ceremony in his Houston offices as it was presented by the daughters of Lyndon B. Johnson — Lynda Johnson Robb and Luci Baines Johnson.

The LBJ Liberty and Justice for All Award, in only its second presentation, acknowledged Bush for his strong character and decency exhibited both while in his presidency and after leaving office. The inaugural award was presented in 2010 to civil rights pioneer and Georgia U.S. Rep. John Lewis.

LBJ Foundation chairman Larry Temple said of Bush, “The period of his presidency stands as a well-remembered time when those qualities characterized leadership in our country at the highest levels – a condition from which all Americans benefited. I know President Johnson would be elated with the presentation of this award, the LBJ Foundation’s highest honor, to President Bush.”

8. More like fixing the news

One of the most intriguing family stories is the Bush story. It was not till later in my life pursuits especially as the Internet became prominent doing research became fun with those in political power and money. Especially linking criminal games that cut corners to ditch good business practice with the Business and Industries connected to them. Now with the Health Insurance industry turning a whole new link to the wealthy one percent is slowly being revealed.

The Bush is a family of exceptional illusion in honesty and integrity with an incredible association to the modern media, and Hollywood that propels these pirates. It is always striking how much and how long these profiteers stayed free to do business and be able to achieve the highest political office. The incredible ties to money since the beginning stories about Prescott Bush makes many persons sour to the pitiful unfair greed that Bush cuts corners and will ditch what is the right thing to do in the gift we all share in life.

Making money for your friends is the highest level of achievement when most of them are together on top flush with money already prominent in society. Most of us at the bottom rung only see pennies from heaven which cost more than those pennies are worth. Besides Hollywood and the media perpetuate and promote the insane corruption violence sex and drugs being compromised in society.

The complicity is overwhelming to obnoxious, when we here can talk about the depth of violations in Congressional, Senate, Presidential actions that have taken place during the Bush administration. It is insane to listen to a news telecast that openly says the Iraq war was created on lies all the while Bush is free in society receiving awards and accolades from peers.

That actions shows the insane social structure we live in that is so two faced and media corruption explains why America is half way to poverty. Where at last count from a radio telecaster Thom Hartmann on several occasions did have the courage to say forty six percent of Americans live in poverty besides the Bush administration did violate the Constitution in several ways. At the least no member of the Bush family should be in politics. They should endure the shame and embarrassment along with the media that propels them for at least the same length of time they have been hidden from justice.
