A 7th advertiser pulls out of Limbaugh's show

The Associated Press

NEW YORK -- A flower company is the 7th advertiser in recent days to say it is pulling ads from conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh's radio program.

ProFlowers says on its Facebook page that it has suspended advertising on Limbaugh's program because his comments about Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke "went beyond political discourse to a personal attack and do not reflect our values as a company."

The company had said on Twitter that posts it received about Limbaugh's remarks affected how it dealt with its advertising partners.

The more sponsors that pull their advert dollars from Limpballs' misogynistic (not to mention racist and rabidly RW) talk-show circus, the more time we'll have to concentrate on the holdouts! On to the next enabling corporation!

much differently than 'cancelled'/ceased advertising?

Suspended to me means they're just waiting for this to blow over and then reengage. Cancelled, on the other hand means permanent.

Anyone else?

They may not be able to outright cancel at this time. I'll take suspended as a start, especially if they did it post "apology".

Done. In light of the problems the military's having with sexual assault, harrassment, and rape, I can't believe the US government is broadcasting this filth to our troops. Our women in uniform deserve far, far better.

Let's say that instead of saying they are suspending advertising on limpy's show they said they were terminating.

And a month from now they decide to resume. What exactly is the difference?

If they get in influx of support from us because of the "suspension" they are less likely to reverse it than if they stop advertising on Rush and see no benefit from it.

Except, ProFlowers is owned by Liberty Media and they will never permanently shove old Limpdick out of the feed trough.

to retail and wholesale florists. Pro flowers are not the way to go to send flowers. It is often shipped a long distance and often it ships like auto parts down the line. Ship with a store that you know or FTD at the very least.

Actually Rush and Pro-flowers are in my mind a good match. Listen to Rush and you have lost reasoning capacity and Pro-flowers just takes your money.

and they stood to lose a whole lot of business.

But it took them 3 days to get around to it and in the interim, they had--and took down--a page offering rush limbaugh discount codes.

I still will never use their service because of their double down before the heat started frying their fat.

Particularly when people revealed that Liberty Media owns ProFlowers.

And I'm even more shocked at the Facebook posters with women's names who are defending Rush and NOW refusing to do business with ProFlowers. Why would any women defend him? And associate him with defending religious liberty?

Boycotting Rush sponsors isn't enough! Clear Channel's Premiere Radio Network Inc. and their 850 radio stations is sticking with Rush. Boycott attention should now be turned to anyone who advertises with Clear Channel Media. Seems like every six months or so the Hate Monger steps in it enough to rally the public against him. What happens next, business as usual the public losses interest and everyone goes back to advertising until the next time. I can't believe he is still on the air...

have been Komened. Rush listeners are flooding their page, dropping their support of PF. As a thanks, PF is deleting as fast as I can post. I'm only quoting limbaugh, yet they don't want his message under those who support him?

I had a hard time this afternoon on my own FB with limbaughs quotes disappearing off my OWN wall. After 2 hours they finally reappeared. I kept reposting them. I never got a notice or anything.
