CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) A former West Virginia sheriff has been sentenced to probation for hacking his now ex-wife's work computer.
Miles Slack pleaded guilty to a federal wiretapping charge. He had faced up to five years in prison but got the probation sentence Thursday as well as a $1,000 fine.

Slack admitted he intended to monitor her activity.
