Christie says he was 'misled' by aides on traffic jamming

Source: Washington Post

In a statement released late Wednesday afternoon, Christie said he had no knowledge that his top aide helped arrange traffic jams as retribution for a Democratic mayor. He promised there would be punishment. "What I've seen today for the first time is unacceptable,” he said. “I am outraged and deeply saddened to learn that not only was I misled by a member of my staff, but this completely inappropriate and unsanctioned conduct was made without my knowledge.”

Christie said the people of New Jersey “deserve better.”

Of course Henry had what the Thug is looking for "plausible deniability". Mary of Scots also employed this tried and true technique to get rid of Darnley.

and we know he had monarchical aspirations. He killed Darnley, then, purportedly, raped Mary so she would "have to" marry him. Many people said he was trying to save face and he was the fall guy, but her love letters to him suggest something different. Same old theories about who did it…we will likely never know, unless some heretofore unknown papers are discovered. Given all the attention the whole case has garnered amongst their contemporaries, it is unlikely a cache of new documents would be found today.

If you're interested in Tudor history and want a new angle on the Tudor reign, read "Blood Will Tell: A Medical Explanation of the Tyranny of Henry VIII" which hypothesizes that Henry VIII had a blood type which made Henry behave the way he did. Its circumstantial of course, but the arguments the authors lay out is really compelling.

that ought to do wonders for his hopes of drafting any kind of nation campaign teams, with them knowing that Christie will abandon them with the quickness for doing what he told/sanctioned them to do.

But then again, congressional republicans still have staffs, despite their bosses doing everything in their power to end the employer share fpr staff members' benefits.

If someone is the one in CHARGE, saying that someone under them (i.e., that they are in charge OF) did something without their knowledge, isn't a real good indicator of their ability to be IN CHARGE of anything.

Because, after all, being in CHARGE means being aware of what is happening!

Christie: I Was 'Misled By A Member Of My Staff'

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) has acknowledged that the New Jersey bridge closing scandal has reached his office.

In a statement issued Wednesday afternoon, Christie responded to the revelation that one of his close aides discussed plans to close lanes on the George Washington Bridge last year.

“What I've seen today for the first time is unacceptable," Christie said. "I am outraged and deeply saddened to learn that not only was I misled by a member of my staff, but this completely inappropriate and unsanctioned conduct was made without my knowledge."

Chris Christie’s phone the first day of school had to be ringing off the wall when traffic was backed up for days, Christie said. "I am outraged, what a F’ing joke this fat ass knew nothing.

Republicans today have no scruples when it comes to electing crooks. They care more about talking the talk than walking the walk. Who would have ever thought that they'd elect Mark "Appalachian Trail" Sanford to a national office again only two years after he left his governorship in disgrace? They vote on who can demonize their political enemies the most and who can be the biggest demagogue, even if that person is totally corrupt and morally unfit for office.

Hey Chris,

How’s it going?

Well, that was probably the wrong way to start. You ain’t having a star spangled day, right?

I just read this at CNN.

E-mails emerged on Wednesday purportedly from top aides to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie bolstering suggestions that George Washington Bridge lane closures last year that tied up traffic stemmed from a political vendetta and not bureaucratic incompetence as his administration claimed.

I know you want to be president one day and people generally don’t mind political vendettas. In fact, most folks kinda enjoy them.

Except, of damn course, when it means they have to pay for it by sitting in damn traffic which you damn caused. That’s when they say, “Well, Damn Chris Christie. He ain’t sitting his bohunkus in this traffic.”

And, you know about that whole The Buck Stops Here thing? Dude, you missed the bus. You’re so out there that you won’t get the Today Show until tomorrow.

Christie said in a statement that “what I’ve seen today is unacceptable,” adding that he was “misled by a member of his staff” and knew nothing about what had transpired.

Now how long did that take you?

Sweetie, I could have told you two months ago before all this started that you cannot trust Republicans. Most of them lie so much that they have to hire someone to call the dogs. Hell, they’ll lie when the truth makes a better story. Sometimes they lie just to stay in practice.

A source close to Christie said “there will probably be some sacrificial firing and that’ll be it.”

Come clean or go home, Darlin’. People won’t mind if you mess around on your wife, if you start a war just for the helluva it, or scream You Lie at the State of the Union Address. You’ll still be reelected. But, traffic. Well, that’s a whole ‘nother ball of wax.

And, by the way, when are public officials going to learn that emails from the office belong to the public? Seriously, didn’t you learn anything from Jack Abramoff?

Love and Fried Okra,
Juanita Jean Herownself
