WAUKESHA (WITI) President Barack Obama makes his way to Waukesha, Wisconsin on Thursday, January 30th to speak at the General Electric Gas Engines Plant hours after he delivered his State of the Union address to Congress and the nation. Final preparations are underway and we are learning there is at least one person who will not be there to greet President Obama on Thursday.
FOX6 News has learned Waukeshas mayor will not be in attendance during the Presidents speech on Thursday.
I`m making a statement. It might be somewhat bold. Im not going to get involved with photo opportunities for partisan, outside partisan politicians, Waukesha Mayor Jeff Scrima said.

Yes. I hate it when a Republican walk outs/ignores/snubs a Democrat. And I hate it when a Democrat walk outs/ignores/snubs a Republican.
If you don't agree with another person's politics, fine. Vote against them. Work for their opponents. Set up a picket line. Go all out. But be decent in the process.

Though to be fair, Waukesha was historically one of the reddest counties in America. In fact during one of the Bush elections, it WAS the reddest county in all of America. And given the traditional avoidance of the "reality based community" by GOPers, it's entirely possible that in alternate-GOP-reality world, he thinks Waukesha is not in the US.
Though if that were true, I sure hope he makes sure nobody in Waukesha votes in federal elections....
