The lawyer, Mark Sheridan, declined to give details about the federal subpoena because the U.S. Attorney had not given him permission to talk about it publicly.
The lawyer also revealed new information about the Legislatures second round of subpoenas, which is issued on Monday. The governors campaign was included in both the first and second subpoena batches.
The second one just sought new information related to any communications between the Fort Lee mayor and the campaign and any documented related to former Port Authority deputy executive director Bill Baronis testimony before the Legislature in November, according to Sheridan.
