Rep. Phil Roe: Obamacare shouldn’t cover pregnancies because my wife is ‘fixed’
By David Edwards

Rep. Phil Roe (R-TN) on Tuesday said that President Barack Obama’s health care law should not force insurance companies to cover reproductive care for women because his wife was “fixed.”

Speaking at the Heritage Foundation’s Conservative Policy Summit, Roe told the crowd that he believed that the best way to provide insurance was through health savings accounts (HSA), and allowing people to buy high-deductible health plan’s (HDHP) across state lines.

“Right now, the federal government tells you what you have to buy,” he explained. “I’m going to be a little graphic here, okay? Let me tell you why that’s important, why that’s driven the cost up through the ceiling.”

“I have been fixed. My wife has been fixed,” Roe said. “Both of us have determined if we thought we had to raise another kid right now, we would jump off the Capitol, head first into the parking lot, face first. You got the idea, don’t want any more kids.”

Yeah, because all of the people that are uninsured just have this money laying around to start an HSA in the first place. Every day these idiots say things that are so stupid I think it can't get worse, then another one comes along and tops the previous idiocy.

If his wife could control her libido, she would not have to have been "fixed" in the first place right?

Peace

The command of God for many of them is to be fruitful and multiply.

Genesis 1:28

And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

http://biblehub.com/genesis/1-28.htm

Never mind that the multiplication of human beings is killing the fish of the sea nd the birds of he heavens. Multiply is the command there.

Besides, what's with the language "getting fixed"? Sounds like a cat or dog.

Republicans never cease to amaze me. Where do they come from? Are they really human beings? Are we of the same species?

Nobody needs insurance that covers pregnancy because Rep. Phil Roe doesn't want more kids? I don't get it. How do the life plans and wishes of Rep. Phil Roe prevent others from getting pregnant? Does he generate some kind of anti-pregnancy ray? Does it extend nationwide or does it just affect people living in his district? I would like to know more about this.

So I think it's highly unlikely they need to worry about unwanted pregnancy. Also why are they both fixed? One should do it. And he was an ObGyn for 30 years and he uses terms like fixed? WTF

If the insurance company can't spread the risk among people who would probably never need a lot of the procedures covered, the individual cost of comprehensive policies would be priced beyond the average American's ability to pay for them.
