Ex-DJ Dave Herman indicted on sexual abuse charge

NEWARK — Renowned former DJ Dave Herman was indicted today on charges of trying to take a 7-year-old Bergen County girl to the U.S. Virgin Islands to sexually abuse her.

Herman was indicted by a federal grand jury on one count of attempting to transport a minor to engage in sexual activity.

Herman allegedly started chatting online in 2012 with an undercover officer from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, who said she was a 36-year-old single mother from Bergen County with a young daughter named “Lexi,” authorities have said.

seems the Herman photo with the Obama 2012 hat was the only recent photo (not screenshot from YouTube) of the man available. I'm not the only one who noticed the hat.
