LAKE MARY, Fla. — Channel 9 has learned authorities are responding to Lake Mary High School in Seminole County after reports of shots being fired on Friday.

As Skywitness 9 HD was overhead, students could be seen running frantically from the school while others walked out with their hands above their heads.

Channel 9's Karla Ray learned the 911 call came in about shots being fired but deputies and police inside the school have not found anything at this time.

The district has confirmed with Channel 9 that the school is under Code Red and is on lockdown at this time but they have not given any other details. Greenwood Lake Middle School, which sits next door to the high school, is also on lockdown.

According to the right-wing Second Amendment absolutists and NRA apologists, crime is going down and this is just the price we must pay for Freedom, Liberty, and the American Way. Move along, the good guys with the guns will take care of this.

isn't working maybe it's time for the students to rebel. I don't know how, maybe boycotting school (which isn't good for their education) or writing to legislators en mass or something.
