Texas Gov. race: Davis outraises Abbott in the last month

(CNN) - Democrat Wendy Davis outraised Republican Greg Abbott in the last month in the Texas gubernatorial to race to succeed outgoing GOP Gov. Rick Perry.

Davis' campaign announced Monday that it raised $2.85 million between January 24 and February 22, compared to Abbott's reported $2.45 million over the same period.

We've been having a big debate about Maxey Scherr (because she's an awesome Democrat) and David Alameel (because he would fund an awesome GOTV effort).

I voted for Maxey but I know as many who voted for David as voted for Maxey.

This was the only real debate among Democrats I voted with -- the rest of the ballot was stocked with pretty clear choices between great Democratic candidates and non-starters.

We need to absolutely get rid of this Neanderthal. Too bad the real executive in Texas is the LT Gov.
