Government working on new pot legislation, Peter MacKay says

Source: CBC

The Conservative government is looking at potentially changing policy to allow police officers to issue tickets to people caught with small amounts of marijuana, rather than lay charges. Justice Minister Peter MacKay told reporters on Parliament Hill Wednesday morning he has tasked the justice department "with looking at and coming forward with what could be a draft legislation."

"We have not arrived on the exact mechanism in which that could be done. The prime minister has signalled an openness to this," he said.

MacKay said he met with Vancouver's police chief, as well as several other chiefs, who "seem to be very favourably inclined."

Last August, Canadian police chiefs adopted a resolution calling for a ticketing system for small amounts of pot possession.

Not that this will stop them from continuing to do that.

Thank you, Mr. Justice Minister Peter MacKay!

I would rather see you, though, do something about the absence of the Canadian Female Public Sex Offender Registry within the walls of our Justice Department. This lack of interest from the Tory government is seriously putting our kids at risk. Even more so, than the fact kids are selling dope to other kids. It is simply unfair to them and their parents. This refusal to address this issue can only be described as the worst case of Sexism, our modern societies have ever seen so far. Bravo! Finally, something else the Tory government is very good at.

But, it's OK! The slow end to the Illegal Canadian Prohibition of Cannabis, which was declared as such, a few years back, by the UN Human Right Tribunal, is also very important to me. That way, I can sit back at home, and enjoy the little bit of freedom I really have today. Nonetheless, I will do what everybody does, and I will ignore the ticketing system you are so willing to impose on us all.

Why? It's very simple! Anybody, who knowns basic arithmetic, understands the main reason. It's more costly to go after those who do not pay the fine. Besides, any attempt, by your punitive Justice Department in collecting the fine with force, will turned out to be counter productive? We will all be back where we all started, and the Tory will be blamed for yet another default from International laws.

I understand it very well! You are limited by the old Social Political Formulas used by many oppressive regimes in the middle-age. You know, the Formulas such as, Public X - Freedom Y = Absolute Public Control. Bravo! You are doing it again! Einstein's famous formula, E=MC(squared) is very lame compared to this one. It is far more useful to our society(at least a part of it).

In short, I am glad to see that you can finally understand, smoking, eating, or drinking that forbidden fruit is needed to cope with the mess, your bodies in the Tory Clan seem to be good at.

However, the topics, I have just mentioned above, aren't the only issues that need to be addressed in our News Media. Yes, you got it! It's the very same News Media you have been controlling so well over the years. I will discuss some of them further in my upcoming first blog.

Nevertheless, I will start enjoying watching who is coming out, admitting they are also Pot-Heads. Perhaps, that will be News&Entertainment at its best. It will be the kind of topics everybody will agree on is worth watching.

As a result of this new change, I also will look forward to participate in yet another parade scrolling down the streets of Toronto. It will be a real change to see people so happy about their own personal choice. It will be so much better, for my health, to breath the Pot's smog produced by so many Pot-Heads in one place. It will a real break from breathing the Pollution Smog produced by the Tar Sands Project you are willing to inflict on all of us.

In all, I will look forward to hear those Pot-Heads, on Oprah, claiming they were unfairly treated, in the past, by the world at large. I will look forward to listen stories of individuals claiming that they were born with a Cannabis Craving. It will be so much more dramatic to find out that Pot Smoking is less dangerous to the public health than Cigarette Smoking. In all, it will be a real change to see Pot-Heads proud of what they are in spite of their genetic condition, the constant rejection, and the persecution they have been subjected over the years.

Again, thank you Mr. Justice Minister Peter MacKay!

I will forward to endure more of the other oppressive ideas, you may have in your back pocket.
