Thousands march in Moscow to protest Crimea vote

Source: Associated Press

Tens of thousands of anti-government protesters marched in central Moscow Saturday, a day before a Kremlin-backed referendum in Crimea on whether to break away from Ukraine and join Russia.

It was the largest anti-government demonstration since 2012. Demonstrators waved Russian and Ukrainian flags, while opposition activists — including two members of the Pussy Riot punk band — shouted "Say no to war!" and "Putin, go away!" from the stage.

Protesters also held up banners that read: "For your freedom and for ours!" One demonstrator held up a plate of salo — cured pork fat that is a staple of Ukrainian cuisine and adored by many Russians — along with a poster that read: "Make salo, not war!"

Nearby, a rally of several thousand was held close to the Kremlin in support of Russian intervention in Crimea.

Care to admit it now, or are you incapable of saying anything critical of Russia during it's illegal wars?

I side with the Russians on this, so I don't view it as illegal.

There is no rational argument that what they are doing is legal. The only people making that argument are shills for Putin like rt.com.

Oh, as far as your super-scary link there, the article calls out the stupid fearmongering Putin and his blind loyalists are putting out there:
From the quoted article:

Taras Berezovets, a political scientist and president of Berta Communications in Kiev, thinks Putin is making too much of fairly small group. Until recently, Right Sector had about 500 members. Today it may be 2,000. He said that it’s essentially attached to Svoboda, similar to what the Irish Republican Army was to the political Sinn Fein, at least in structure. But, he said, it’s far less dangerous.

Some people are willing to be William Kristols in service of Putin's imperialism. Very clarifying to see who the actual progressives are and who are just pro-Russia.
