Source: BBC

Jerry Glazier from the NUT says the workload placed on teachers must "come right down"

The other biggest classroom teachers' union, the NASUWT, is also considering a strike.

Also see the interesting article, "What hours do {UK} teachers really work?" at http://www.bbc.com/news/education-27087942 It would be nice to see a similar study of US teachers.

The added problem was the tension, dealing with kids, fights, administrators ( some useless, some useful) gunshots (yes, really. that's when I retired), worrying about the homeless kids and so forth.

I loved the job and sometimes wish I was back. But it wasn't peaches and cream.

Was National Teachers' Union (NTU) taken, or something?

Makes it too easy for those opposed to their initiatives to deride.
