Bill Kristol defends NBA owner: Don’t ‘go hysterical over two or three’ racist comments

Source: The Raw Story

Conservative pundit Bill Kristol on Sunday urged people to judge NBA team owner Don Sterling by his “deeds,” and not to “go hysterical over two or three sentences” where he tells his girlfriend to stay away from black men.

On Saturday, gossip website TMZ published an audio recording of Sterling, who owns the L.A. Clippers, telling his girlfriend that she could have sex with African-American men like Lakers legend Magic Johnson as long as she did not post photographs of them on social media or be seen with them in public at NBA games.

“It bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you’re associating with black people,” Sterling allegedly told his girlfriend in the 9 minute recording. “Don’t put him on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me. And don’t bring him to my games.”

I'm really starting to believe that conservatives actually think this way.
I'm going to shove this and the Cliven Bundy statement, down my conservative
friends throats.

Bill Kristol should be removed from all media pundit positions.

Count on Wee Willie Kristol to be consistently on the wrong side of any given issue. Scratch the surface of Sterling and I'm sure you'd find antisemitism as well. How would THAT grabya, Bill? Would two or three sentences be tolerable then?

There are those humans who think one racist comment is too many. Apparently Bill Kristol is not one of them.

Sterling's girlfriend is mixed black and Hispanic, yet he gives her advice on racial mores and social etiquette that sounds like it came on the eve of World War I. That's bizarre in itself.

Kristol, meanwhile, demonstrates he's a clueless about modern relationships as he is about foreign policy. He says Sterling shouldn't go be punished because he broke no laws. Did I miss something? Did someone suggest Sterling go to jail over this? There is some talk about sanctioning him under NBA rules. Since I don't keep a copy of the NBA rulebook around, I don't know if he violated any rules, but that's being looked into by the commissioner. I'll content myself with that for now.

How long have Mr. Sterling and Ms. Stiviano been seeing each other? They don't seem to know each other very well.

I believe that the NBA should strip him of his ownership.

Major League Baseball got.rid of Marge Schott as owner of the
Cincinnati Reds for her nazi statements, NBA should do the same
for Sterlings racist statements.

Nothing less will do.

Got there one way and that is by injecting race as the core issue into the debate. Oh, they have been clever enough to use code in their message but over time that breaks down so Republicans are left with out in the open racists like Cliven Bundy and Sterling as the face of the GOP. Sure, they like to distance themselves from the message while holding on to the messenger. It doesn't work that way.

Bundy and the clip on what he 'knows about the Negro.'

The first sentence used in his little homily to his lapdog followers indicates he had already been discussing 'the Negroes...'

“I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro,” he said.

http://www.slate.com/blogs/weigel/2014/04/24/cliven_bundy_and_some_conservative_pundits_are_not_so_different.html
Chances are that the racist skunk cabbage rhetoric was in full bloom before the clip started. The skunk cabbage got its name for its putrid smell. The smell is described being as rotting flesh and if you happen to step on it you will get a whiff just as bad as this guy and his pals.

Billy (R-loves all the wars he can make money on) Kristol, is really showing his ass on this one. But let's go with the troglodytes and reinvent the wheel for them as they are clueless, or they are soulless, take your pick.

Their philosophy is not new, and their focus is on the terrible government because it freed the slaves and deprived them of their freedom to use other beings as slaves to get rich.

When you boil down their arguments, it's all the same. The rhetoric means nothing about an individual fighting oppression. They believe they were born to elminate other human beings.

The NBA clown, is actually worse than a racist.

Yes, there are worse things. He's a depraved entity who thinks oliving things are here for him to use as tools to be used and tossed away. It's all about him.

These people suck and are a danger to the planet.

<<William Kristol, Editor of the The Weekly Standard, co-founder of The Project for a New American Century and chairman of the Emergency Committee for Israel issued the following statement on the Occupy Wall Street protests and movement:

“It’s not surprising that elements of the modern left are anti-Semitic," said ECI chairman William Kristol in a statement. "It is surprising that respectable liberals have praised the protesters while ignoring the anti-Semitism. Liberals have pretended to see nothing hateful and hear nothing hateful, and therefore have said nothing to rebuke their allies. Will they now speak up?”>>

Sterling has poked his filthy finger into the eye of a Nation, complete with his nasty racist rant, and deserves prompt Justice from the Commissioner. Saying this is not only obvious, but very controlled. Many of us would come up with Fierce Justice if allowed, but we're restrained...so Billy just looks like what he really is: A Racist Apologist. He is not credible nor relevant.

that taking the "right" side is often clearly and utterly wrong. If 100 geophysicists were to stand up and say that the sun rises in the east, as we have assigned relative directions and frames of reference, and defined certain parameters, Kristol would argue the "Right" side that the earth is the center of the universe.

But I argue against muting him or removing him from the ether. He serves an impotent purpose, in that his being wrong so often, so consistently is like a lighthouse on a dark and stormy night, or a phosphorescent compass guiding a lost camper. You just have to go in the opposite direction from what he indicates, and you will be all right.

This morning on CNN, Ashley Banfield rattled off a list of all the insane things he's said, which are available at the Smoking Gun website, including statements in court records through the years. Banfield went apoplectic over Sterling's misogynist statements to his African American/Latina girlfriend telling her he would dump her in favor of an obedient girl if she didn't do exactly what he wanted. Apparently he thinks he's bought her by giving her two cars including a Ferrari and a Beverly Hills condo and he's treating her like a prostitute, like his own property. This guy has not only made statements against black people, but about women, about Hispanics and even about Koreans which they discussed last hour on CNN.

"I don't want to change. If my girl can't do what I want, I don't want the girl. I'll find a girl that will do what I want! Believe me. I thought you were that girl—because I tried to do what you want. But you're not that girl."
