Bond set at $250,000 for Wayne Miller, president of Cathedral Bible College with Myrtle Beach campus
By David Wren
dwren@thesunnews. May 23, 2014

FLORENCE — Reginald Wayne Miller, the president and founder of Cathedral Bible College, is not allowed to set foot on the college campus in Marion or communicate with any of the school’s current or former foreign students as an investigation continues into allegations that Miller threatened to cancel foreign students’ visas if they did not work long hours for little pay.

Those terms are part of a $250,000 secured bond that Magistrate Judge Thomas Rogers set for Miller during a detention hearing Friday in federal court. In addition, Miller will be on home detention and will be required to wear an electronic monitoring device.

“I don’t think we’ve identified all of the potential victims yet,” said Carrie Fisher, the assistant U.S. attorney prosecuting the case. Fisher said some victims may have already left the country and some may be former students who have yet to come forward. “Our investigation just started this week.”

Agents with Homeland Security Investigations filed a criminal complaint against Miller this week saying they have probable cause to charge him with forced labor, a felony that carries a maximum prison sentence of 20 years for each count. Investigators say Miller forced foreign students to work at the campus and his personal residence for as little as $25 per week. Miller threatened to cancel the students’ visas if they complained or didn’t comply with his demands, according to an affidavit filed this week.

SC pastor accused of turning Bible college into forced labor camp for foreign students
By David Edwards
Sunday, May 25, 2014 14:21 EDT

The president of a South Carolina Bible college was charged last week with essentially treating foreign students as slaves by forcing them to perform work for little or no pay.

According to The Sun News, federal prosecutors filed a criminal complaint against Cathedral Bible College President Reginald Wayne Miller, accusing him of forced labor.

An affidavit included with the complaint said that students “described a pervasive climate of fear in which their legal status as non-immigrant students was in constant jeopardy, at the sole discretion of Dr. Miller, who threatened expulsion and therefore termination of their legal presence in the United States for noncompliance with his demands.”

Students told investigators that classes at the school “were not real,” and that the real purpose of the school was to force them to work over the maximum of 20 hours per week that federal law allows for student visas. The students alleged that Miller often forced them to live in substandard conditions without hot water, heat or air-conditioning.

You know it is hard to not believe this guy is guilty. The government would not have charged him, if they didn't have pretty solid proof.
This guy is the "born again, of all of them.." Do you suppose this is just one complaint? Or many, like in the case in Penn. where the guy raped the kids? Remember, and this is important, it was not just one there, and you had better bet, it is not just one in South Carolina..a beautiful campus right near the ocean..

The students also told investigators that their living conditions at the college were substandard, including long periods of time without any hot water, heat or air conditioning. They also stated that the food provided by the college "was expired or insufficient for consumption and nutrition," according to the affidavit.

The Sun News is not naming the alleged victims because of privacy concerns in an ongoing investigation.

One student told investigators he had been promised $100 per week as part of a work-study program with the college. That student said he only makes $50 per week and regularly works between 46 hour and 56 hours each week. The student also said he worked for two weeks without any pay.

Another student told investigators that he was paid $50 per week for about 32 hours of work.

"Dr. Miller told [the student] if he did not like this work, he could go home or he [Miller] would call the Immigration and Naturalization Service," the affidavit states.

Another student at the college said he earns $50 per week for 40 hours of work.

We all remember in the New Testament how Jesus worked his disciples for meager wages and berated them for complaining.
Who can ever forget this tidbit from Jesus:
"When a foreigner enters your household immediately put him to work. If he complains have him cast from your town. Spare no rod, show no mercy for the foreigner you invite is merely a servant who should do as he is told and shut up."

The Bible does not in any way prohibit slavery. It is fully okay with making slaves of "foreigners."

So this guy is abiding by Biblical tradition and making slaves of people outside his tribe. What could be more Christian than subjugating people not of your tribe (Asians, African Americans, non-Americans) to your will under God's law?

Ralph Reed's daughter Nicole was arrested yesterday and charged with theft at the Mall of Georgia after stealing a large amount of items on a school trip. She was immediately kicked out of Rabun Gap Nacoochee School, an exclusive private school in North Georgia.

Reed and his wife are known by the students and faculty of the school to be absentee parents who rarely pay attention to their children, and who sent Nicole off to boarding school. Nicole has been known to be rebellious, dating young black men much to the consternation of her father.

Now she has been kicked out of school, and is facing criminal charges.

Nice parenting, Ralph.
