Breaking News : Morocco building collapse toll hits 23 + exclusive video today

Source: news24

Casablanca - The death toll after three buildings collapsed in the Moroccan city of Casablanca reached 23, officials said on Monday, after more bodies were recovered from the rubble in the past three days.

The incident occurred in Casablanca's Bourgone district on Friday, at dawn when people in this mostly Muslim country were having their meal in preparation for a new day of fasting in the holy month of Ramadan.

A five-floor building, where a sixth floor was illegally being constructed, tumbled and flattened a neighbouring apartment block, the witnesses added.

Authorities said on Sunday that 17 people were still being treated in hospital. Rescue operations were temporarily suspended on Sunday as rescue teams sought more sophisticated equipment, due to the risk of neighbouring houses collapse during the search for bodies.

King Mohamed VI visited the site of the collapse and those treated in hospital.

in a certain direction, typically towards the ads. I'm not sure if that means they reverse the orientation of photos, but I know I've done this personally with certain of my own photos so as to better compile a collage in a unifying way.

Not sure if a similar drive is at work here, but just raising the possibility.
