Prosecutor: Co-Worker Had Altercation With Beheading Suspect ‘About Him Not Liking White People’
Source: CBS Houston
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) An Oklahoma man apparently uttered Arabic words during an attack in which he allegedly severed a co-workers head, and had some sort of infatuation with beheadings, but the killing appeared to have more to do with the mans suspension from his job than his recent conversion to Islam, a prosecutor said Tuesday.

There was some sort of infatuation with beheadings. It seemed to be related to his interest in killing someone that way, Cleveland County Prosecutor Greg Mashburn said. Other than that, it seemed to be related to his being suspended earlier in the day.
Mashburn said the human resources department at the Vaughan Foods plant in Moore had suspended Nolen earlier Thursday after another co-worker, Traci Johnson, had complained she had had an altercation with Nolen about him not liking white people.
It had more to do with race rather than trying to convert people, Mashburn said. He said there was a back and forth with Ms. Johnson and that led her to make a complaint to the HR department.

Joe's collection of Beatles albums seems to be related to his membership in the john Lennon fan club.
Mike's death by starvation seems to be related to his lack of food.

(39,215 posts)and he had an argument with the girl. Is there any reason why they can't all be a part of the reason? The only question I have is what type of Islam? Is he connected to ISIS or is it just a coincidence that he is infatuated with beheadings? If not then you can take the Islam out of the above list as a reason.

Basically, anti-white racism in reality is limited to the New Black Panther Party and fringe nuts not mainstream culture. But on Fox News and talk radio you will find plenty of shameless bigotry against non whites.

(11,841 posts)You need look no further than Fulton Co GA. They've lost discrimination suits filed by whites. And its blatant too. The latest was just a few months ago
And there are a lot of people who listen to farrakan, who is another openly racist individual. Its not "fringe" at all depending on where you live.

(31,879 posts)They have interesting demographics there . . . not the usual for the US by and large.
It is what is - the numbers speak for themselves.

(11,841 posts)Have been for years. No surprise considering the demographics. But they have also had to pay out millions because of several lost cases of discrimination against whites. The worst being the Atlanta library board case, which cost 25 Million! So discrimination can be systemic for any race depending on WHO is the minority.
I just cant figure out why its so hard or some to admit that.

(31,879 posts)Where the blacks run amok all over the whites. That would be an interesting topic.
We should work together to craft that information. Would be pretty interesting. Epic thread.

Atlanta is interesting - I know too many people (black folks, well educated, professional) that have moved down there the past 10/12 years from the Great Lakes area . My uncle also pulled up shop from Birmingham in the late 80s and moved himself and his business to Atlanta because Birmingham was just still too anti black people at that time.
So basically you've had a large influx of affluent, well educated blacks into the Atlanta area - and I wonder what the crime rate is of Atlanta vs that of Detroit?
I just find Atlanta an odd choice for many reasons. It's just one of those places that even I considered moving to for better financial and social opportunities because it does have a bit of a reputation for being the black elite mecca.

(11,841 posts)The only reason I know about Atlanta/Fulton Co is because I live in ga and of course its news here. I've never seen ANY of the stories in national media. A quick google search turns up cases in Syracuse, Flint Mi, Maryland, etc, but no compiled figures.
But honestly, do you really think a thread like that would last around here? We cant even agree on whether or not Putin is wrong on Ukraine!
JustAnotherGen
(31,879 posts)Not affluent and black - not by any stretch. Syracuse (I'm from Rochester originally and we tend to move a great deal in between Cuse to Buff) - is a city in trouble. Many in the Great Lakes are.
It never would have occured to me to move 45 minutes down the road in 2006 to Syracuse for better opportunities. Atlanta had it. Houston had it. Greater NYC area.
