All I know is that for years we were represented by a blue dog Dem, then in 2010 the teabaggers swept to power and Steve Southerland was elected. He made a terrible mistake this year when he had an all male fundraiser and told the "misses not to wait up". Also Gwen Graham is the daughter of beloved former Governor and Senator, Bob Graham. That probably helped a lot too.
