Seemingly excellent studies on Iraq and Syria

I've stumbled upon a web site from an organization called "the Institute for the Study of War". I am deeply impressed by the detailed and cogent analysis they offer of what's been happening in Iraq and Syria. They apparently predicted the rise of ISIS in 2012.

I'd be interested to know the views of others on the work done by this group. It sure looks thorough and thoughtful to me.
