"Surprise! ALEC Scholar Says ALEC Right to Work Will Boost WI Economy"

"Personal income includes the investment income of wealthy people, like capital gains or real estate. Wages, in contrast, are the primary form of income for working people, and are affected more significantly by right-to-work laws.

“We are facing a crisis of inequality,” Lafer said. “Unions lessen that inequality by letting people negotiate so they get a share when companies are profitable.”

With right-to-work, the overall income in the state might stay the same, but wages go down because workers have less leverage to negotiate a share of the profits. The state's overall personal income may not change, but the distribution is different.

“You need to look at what does right-to-work does to working people, not investors,” Lafer said."

Deal culture. So corporate America went back to their PR flaks to brand "open shop" with a new, less toxic-sounding euphemism. The phrase they came up with was "right to work," as if they were actually empowering workers with "individual liberty" by going after their unions."

For liberals, "Success" means everyone is doing well.

For conservatives, "Success" means that the 1% is doing well.

Sad thing is, there are a lot of conservatives that are not part of the 1% and have no clue...

services that everyone else pays for via taxes, and they don't. That they get to use the schools that everyone pays for via taxes. That is why these big banks and corporations need to also pay taxes.

But you are right it is a sad thing that those conservatives who are not part of the 1% and have no clue. They still love the idea that these job creators do enough just to create jobs….
