Trump Is Self-Sabotaging His Campaign Because He Never Really Wanted the Job in the First Place

Michael Moore

Donald Trump never actually wanted to be president of the United States. I know this for a fact. I’m not going to say how I know it. I’m not saying that Trump and I shared the same agent or lawyer or stylist, or if we did, that would have anything to do with anything. And I’m certainly not saying I ever overheard anything at those agencies or in the hallways of NBC or anywhere else. But there are certain people reading this right now, they know who they are, and they know that every word in the following paragraphs actually happened.

Trump was unhappy with his deal as host and star of his hit NBC show, “The Apprentice” (and “The Celebrity Apprentice”). Simply put, he wanted more money. He had floated the idea before of possibly running for president in the hopes that the attention from that would make his negotiating position stronger. But he knew, as the self-proclaimed king of the dealmakers, that saying you’re going to do something is bupkis—DOING it is what makes the bastards sit up and pay attention.

Which makes him very dangerous. His staffers and managers are very dangerous and the GOP are very dangerous. The USA has arrived at a tipping point. The GOP have always wanted a one political party system.

Inside sources said he only ran as a protest candidate, thought he might get 20%, didn't think he would ever win & didn't want to win.

Look at his #shampaign, he hasn't done the things a person would do if they really wanted to win. Look at his campaign stops the past couple weeks, he's holding rallies in states where he's behind by double digits (a total waste of time) while ignoring key battleground states. This is NOT what someone does when they want to win.

the pressure on until Nov 9th. Not one ounce of complancey.

When HRC wins, expect nothing less than a full court press by republicans to discredit her, no less than than impeach her.

It started out as a rebranding platform for him.

Now he's getting worried his new brand will be LOSER.
The only point I would disagree with Moore on is that, at least at some point when his numbers were closer, he wanted it. I think having to live in the White House would be a burden here would bear if the trade off was to be the most powerful boss in the world. He'd just get his VP to actually do the work. There was a story back a bit about how he approached the candidate who's name escapes me (started with a K) with a deal that he would pick him as his running mate if he would agree to actually make the decisions on policy etc. because he knew nothing about it.
