You consider yourself a journalist, right? Susan Sarandon, Chris Hayes have tense exchange over Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump
The actress and activist once said that Trump may be a better option than Clinton, and still believes it

Fast-forward to Wednesday. In the wake of Trumps upset victory, Sarandon said she does not believe she was on the wrong side of history. Hayes asked Sarandon to reflect on her mindset in March, when she was dead set against Clinton. The MSNBC host wondered if she regretted her position.
I think if you are not in touch with the status quo, you are going to lose, Sarandon tried to explain. I mean, if youre arguing for shoring up the status quo, when America is asking for change, you are going to have a difficult time.
Clearly not satisfied with that answer, Hayes asked Sarandon if she properly appreciated what a Trump presidency would mean for America. The actress got defensive.
I think that I absolutely feel that analyzing and spending time and energy talking about blaming people, or who made mistakes, or what should have happened, is really wasting your time and energy, she said.
Sarandon was adamant that Hayes was misusing his platform by questioning her position. Then she condescendingly asked him if he was a real journalist, I mean, youre a journalist, you consider yourself a journalist, right?

OP
Sounds like she knows she got it completely wrong but wants to be stupid about it.

What a loathsome performance by a limousine-liberal, has-been actress. Bernie, she's all yours......

(4,764 posts)6. If there is one thing susan sarandon is good at
it is being pompous. I thought Chris did a good job considering what he was up against. Sarandon thrives on outrage. If Bernie had been elected president she would have turned on him in a split second.

The media continues to interview people that ignore facts, promote themselves, minimalize those they disagree with. That is not a discussion. Susan is making herself more and more irrelevant. Why put her on any show..
