NEWSEUM TO HOST SPECIAL PROGRAM ON THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATIONS FIRST 100 DAYS.
'On Thursday, April 6, 2017, the Newseum will host The President and the Press: The First Amendment in the First 100 Days, a half-day forum that will explore the relationship of the press with the Trump administration in the critical first months of the Trump presidency. The program will be held at the Newseum, and will include panel discussions and individual presentations, as well as the opportunity for members of the press, representatives of President Trumps administration, and First Amendment experts to meet individually. Participants will discuss pertinent challenges to the First Amendment, a free press, and protecting the free flow of information in a divided nation.
The goal of the conference is to reduce tension between the administration and the media, and provide guidelines for the road ahead.
The Newseum has been a passionate advocate for the First Amendment for decades, said Jeffrey Herbst, president and CEO of the Newseum. We understand the important role that the press plays in our democracy. Our deep knowledge base, talented experts and our ability to reach millions of individuals through our exhibits, programs and digital outreach, position us to play a significant role as thought leaders on First Amendment issues at this critical time. Rather than just another round of people talking, we hope and expect that this conference will yield real results.'

For those who don't know about Newseum, their Gallery is where to go for front pages of newspapers around the globe with links to the papers so you can read the full stories. Warning: they don't like Trump any better offshore than we do onshore.
