The first hundred days of Donald Trump’s presidency are nearly over, and, compared to his predecessors, he has shockingly few legislative achievements to brag on. While his own performance as president can’t be ignored as a culprit, there are larger structural impediments at work here.

The failure of the American Health Care Act brings into sharp focus the problems that both Trump and congressional Republicans face right now.

2. Well, while we watch this scorecard, anti-government

appointees are busy dismantling procedures, stopping enforcement as possible of existing laws, and pushing out believers in doing a good job. And, of course, many offices go unfilled, which in some cases is almost as bad.

Rump's a boob who wouldn't know a process from a policy if it punched him in the nose. All to say, while the anti-government forces struggle to harness Rump's power, their termites are nevertheless busy with their work of destruction.
