Donald Trump just hit a new low in the La David Johnson fiasco: CNN

http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/23/politics/trump-johnson-call/index.html

Analysis by Chris Cillizza, CNN Editor-at-large
Updated 10:48 AM ET, Mon October 23, 2017
______________________________________________________________________________________
(CNN) — Calling the widow of an American soldier killed in action is, emotionally speaking, absolutely gut-wrenching. Knowing that nothing you will say can bring true comfort. Knowing a life -- and likely many lives -- have been altered forever. Facing down pure loss and pure grief.

As difficult as it is emotionally, it is just as simple politically speaking. You call -- or write -- expressing deepest sympathies and condolences. You offer any assistance you can. The end.

Which makes what President Donald Trump has done -- and is doing -- with Myeshia Johnson (and Florida Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson) all the more appalling.

On Monday, in an interview with "Good Morning America," Johnson, the widow of slain Sgt. La David Johnson, spoke for the first time in public about her phone call with Trump. She confirmed Wilson's account that Trump had told her that her husband "knew what he was getting into" and added: "It made me cry because I was very angry at the tone of his voice and how he said it. He couldn't remember my husband's name."

To which Trump almost immediately replied via Twitter: "I had a very respectful conversation with the widow of Sgt. La David Johnson, and spoke his name from beginning, without hesitation!"

It's staggering to consider what Trump is doing here.
_______________________________________________________________________________

The author of this article presents the argument that this stance by Trump is as low as one can get..He is disputing the recollection of a fallen soldier's wife. A woman who has lost her husband in battle for the United States. Arguing at this time goes beyond reason. Cris Cillizza concludes with these 4 sentences...................

It's hard to imagine how Trump could have handled all of this any worse. And what's amazing is that there is a 0% chance he will admit that he mishandled it or try to make things even marginally better with Johnson or Wilson. Instead, if past is prologue, he will continue on the attack and then use any public appearance in the coming weeks to insist events proved him right.

Stunning -- even for Trump.

this sure as hell wont.

Either a high profile GOP person is going to call for his removal or they wont, and if they wont we will see more of this and likely we will be alienated from all other countries other than Russia and maybe even them if trump cant pay Putin the 1.7 billion he owes him either with dollars or favors.

And the fact that most of them claim they are morally superior and good Christians to boot, is beyond sickening and borders on depravity.

Very sad. And very frightening.
I think there will always be that segment because deep down, that segment is Trump.

Now it could be 16 percent, about one in six, or perhaps 20 percent, one in five, or a little more. But that hard core segment is there and will be there. I hope that it will get to one in five or lower, but it is a sad observance that there is a part of the U.S.A. that is just like Trump. It is hate, hate, and more hate. Being Christian or any other religion doesn't matter to this group. For this group.., it is all about hate.

"If God thought black people were equal, He would have made them white". It was my husband's introduction to southern racism and his jaw dropped. There are people that actually believe shit like that and nothing you say will ever change their mind. Not even if a black person saved their life. I will never understand it and want no part in it and have wasted my breath trying to change it every time I have encountered it. Unfortunately in the last year or so, for some in this country, they have been given the green light to practice it in the open and cheer it on all over this country.

I used to stay with family friends who lived in the suburbs and I would stay with them for two weeks in the summer in the sun since I lived in foggy San Francisco. I went with my friend
Who lived next door to this day camp and met an elder. He talked me with and said I should look into the Mormon church. I actually enjoyed myself as this camp. On one of my phone calls to my Mother, I mentioned going to the camp and saying I liked the Mormon church. There was this long silence on the phone and then my Mom told me they didn’t allow black people in the Mormon church. I am a very light skinned black person and could pass for white. I went to the camp the next day and told the elder what my Mother said, he told me I was ok because God blessed with with white skin. I was only 15 and a little confused over this. Anyway 2 days later I was back in San Francisco and on an airplane to Chicago to spend some time with my Grandma. I later found out from the family friends that they were concerned about the Mormons trying to convert me and that my parents were also upset. But I will never forget, “you are ok, because God blessed you with white skin”.

Nothing he does or says can ever be wrong. Everything he does is great; everything he says is perfect; anyone who criticizes him is a traitor. The fact that Myeshia Johnson and Rep. Wilson are black women makes it even easier for him to trash them to the loud applause of the cult members, but nobody and nothing is sacred. Even white male Republicans like McCain and Corker get hate-tweeted because they dared to criticize Dear Leader. The only exception is for fellow-traveler white supremacists, some of whom are, of course, "fine people."

hear their bs everyday. I'll tell you what every day this goes on Trump is gaining support. The family and Rep. Wilson are black and they see this as blacks whining and they think blacks have been given everything. This may be hard to hear but that is how white people feel here.

He bombarded the media with a daily avalanche of provocations, slanders and insults. Serious exposes were published and questions were raised, but were promptly pushed aside and the general public never paid attention to them. Meanwhile the Russian propaganda machine was working overtime on the social media networks to fill in the information gap.

NOTHING is "...stunning--even for trump."

You don't understand or you are being deliberately obtuse. There is nothing this psychopath will not do to protect himself and hurt others. NOTHING!!!

Continuing to ascribe even the dullest of base human emotions to trump and expecting some reversal of his behavior that mimics real humans IS A MISTAKE.

The wiring in his head is ALL FUCKED UP.

THIS FILTHY PIECE OF CRAP WILL FUCK YOU AND CONTINUE TO FUCK YOU TILL YOU ARE GONE, UNTIL OR UNLESS YOU REALIZE HE IS GOING TO FUCK YOU NO MATTER WHAT AND YOU DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. THAT'S WHAT HE DOES. THAT'S ALL HE DOES.

I am so tired of the temporizing, equivocating, prevaricating mendacity that always shows up in coverage of this bloodsucker.

ENOUGH!
