The Constitutional Crisis is Here

Eugene Robinson, from the WaPo: (my bolding)

Stop waiting for the constitutional crisis that President Trump is sure to provoke. It’s here.

On Sunday, via Twitter, Trump demanded that the Justice Department concoct a transparently political investigation, with the aim of smearing veteran professionals at Justice and the FBI and also throwing mud at the previous administration. Trump’s only rational goal is casting doubt on the probe by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, which appears to be closing in.

--snip--

None of this is normal or acceptable. One of the bedrock principles of our system of government is that no one is above the law, not even the president. But a gutless Congress has refused, so far, to protect this sacred inheritance.

Trump is determined to use the Justice Department and the FBI to punish those he sees as political enemies. This is a crisis, and it will get worse.

They are completely shameless, and are likewise at war against the citizens they were elected to serve.

Their end game is to create a society based on economic feudalism.

...protecting a man who is, at the least, a thoroughly corrupt criminal, but also very possibly, an agent of the Russian government.

Unbelievable...as in WHAT THE FUCK?

Complete sewer full of deplorables. And I thought the comments posted on Yahoo were bad. Sheesh.

I read the comments. Christ.

Complete regurgitation of fox talking points and obvious hatred of Obama.

These fuckers are completely brainwashed right-wing authoritarian followers ready to kill libtards on command.

I do not fear them, however. Imagine the Bundy Bunch: Flags, Jesus, "Freedumb!" and "Patriotism!", miss-matched Walmart brand bullet-proof vests, infighting, dumber than a bag of hair. They are a small minority of the deplorables and laughable when you think of it.

. . . brought about by a president in the pocket of a foreign power, intent on destroying us,
a president who is quite possibly wed to a "honey pot" who has been under Kremlin control since she was a teenager.

From the Urban Dictonary: "In the world of espionage, [honey pot] is the code word for a woman who is supposed to seduce a man in order to pump secrets from him, steal things from him, etc.

7. Melonia Honey Pot?

I think it's entirely possible that she is what in the spy trade is called a honey pot.
It's the type of thing intelligence agencies do.
If the Russians do have something on Trump, she may have been the person who supplied the info.
Who better to do surveillance than a wife?
It surprises me that to my knowledge no one else has mentioned the possibility.
It seems obvious.
I'm new here so I cannot yet make this idea its own post.
Maybe someone else will.

8. Honey pot. You're reading too much James Bond. As if there isn't enough sordid details...

in cheetolini's miserable eewwww filled life on the front page and news shows every day we need to knit up salacious crap about a woman no one would want to be in real life.

What in the world would the Russians get through her that they don't get from the twittering bozo directly? I think Melonia has no interest at all in being in the White House (except for trying to decorate the White House at Christmas) and has probably even considered chewing her own arm off to get away from cheetolini.

I like her because what you see is what you get. I bet the one thing in the world she wants is to as far away with her son from cheetolini. He's willing to pay $130,000 and risk his Presidency over concealing vanilla sex. Why in the world would he fall for a honey pot? Besides, isn't the purpose of a "honey pot" to be involved in anonymous black-mailable sex? Isn't that correct, Mr Bond?
