Manchin warns that Biden's agenda would create an 'entitlement society.' But his state leads the way

In his skirmishes with the liberals of his party over the size and shape of their agenda, Sen. Joe Manchin III (D) has repeatedly warned that the left would lead the nation into a crippling dependency on government.

“I’ve been very clear when it comes to who we are as a society, who we are as a nation,” Manchin has said. “I don’t believe that we should turn our society into an entitlement society.”

That phrase — “entitlement society” — has become something of a battle cry for the senior senator from West Virginia as he works to slash the Democrats’ $3.5 trillion domestic spending package to less than half its size.

Not surprising from a senator who hails from a state that presents itself as fiercely self-reliant. But in fact, West Virginians are not only older, sicker and poorer than most of the nation; they are, by some measures, more reliant on the federal government than any other state.

I paid in to Social Security and Unemployment insurance since i was 15, and I am Entitled to my social security. It's not a gift. I paid in to that insurance program.

Manchin is NOT entitled, he has no claim, to millions from corporate owners.

I am particularly tired of the GOP redefining words to make pejoratives of them. Liberal. Entitlement. Majority. Family Values.

The only values these idiots put on family is how much they can sell them for on the black market, or how much their life insurance will bring.

Now that Zuckerburglar is proving himself to be without emotions or empathy or any sense of responsibility in pursuit of the almighty ad dollar, it's time to reclaim *language* as well as AMerican Culture.

Like any self-respecting snake Mancin speaks with a forked tongue. He will look you in the eye and lie.

Daughter Heather getting a multimillion payout for quitting her job after gouging the public with Epi pen price piracy is entitlement. Mancini's son running Joe's "blind trust" is entitlement. Joe blathering from the back of his yacht like some demented overlord is entitlement. Mancin engorging himself on taxpayer salary and one of the best benefit packages in the world, while demanding pay accountability for childcare benefits, is entitlement.
